One of the greatest collectors of Cinderellas died at the end of last year. Francis Kiddle - a former president of the Royal Philatelic Society London - was a noted collector of revenues, labels and anything which wasn't actually a stamp. The collection - accumulated with his brother - is going on sale on February 24 at Grosvenor Auctions. there are about 500 lots and prices are as little as £100 each. No doubt some will be knocked down for even less than this. Cinderellas rarely get good prices. However because Francis Kiddle was so well known - and so well liked - many collectors may be tempted to pay a little extra to acquire a keepsake from this famous philatelist.
The sale is at Grosvenor Auctions from 24 February
